We need your help!

If you're reading this mail, you've heard the news - we have found a venue in the Southern Suburbs for our skaters. But it's not ready yet, and we need your help.

In order for us to get the court repaired, the weeds need to be gone. We've prepped the area, de-weeded a bunch of the bigger weeds and dead plants, and have killed what's still there. We just need to go in now and remove the remaining little buggers.

We will be at Protea Sports Club 9am - 5pm on Saturday. If you can join us, please do! You can pop in when you are free on the day... even if it's only for an hour! Any and every little bit of help is appreciated. We will even be providing some drinks and snacks (this isn't a bribe).

What will be going down: we will be raking up grass, pulling out weeds, sweeping, and bagging up the mess.

We will have extra tools for everyone but if you can, please bring:

• Garden gloves
• Garden tools (spade, rake, trowel, screwdriver, etc) we don't need anything fancy, screwdrivers are nice and small and will get into the cracks perfectly
• Black bags
• A mask
• Water and snacks
• Sunscreen and hat
• Maybe even your knee guards to protect them knees

Are membership fees an issue? We want the club as accessible as possible, and if we had our way we wouldn't charge at all - but we have big costs ahead of us for full repairs and upgrades and the fees cover these as well as admin costs and membership to the PSC.
